Rotaract is a Rotary International-sponsored service club for young men and women between the ages of 18 and 30. Rotaract clubs are community based and they focus on the development of young adults as leaders in their communities and workplaces. Clubs around the world also take part in international service projects, in a global effort to bring peace and international understanding to the world.

Achievements
  • Launched our annual Milton Rotaract Softball Tournament which raised $3,000 in 2012 and $4,500 in 2013

 

  • Our fundraising and awareness campaign for ShelterBox Canada raised more than $2,000 where we purchase 2 ShelterBoxes for displaced people in need

 

  • Supporting our community with our active presence at events like the Santa Clause Parade, the Milton Remembrance Day Parade, Canada Day at the Milton Fairgrounds, the Milton Volunteer Fair, and Sunday Tea for Autism and Service Dogs

 

  • Establishing the Milton Rotaract Bursary Fund that is designed to help post-secondary students with financial need living in the Milton community who demonstrate leadership qualities through volunteerism

 

  • Collected more than 300 used coats at our Winter Coat Drives for people in need living in the Halton region.
